A TOOLKIT FOR THE 2012 STATE LEGISLATIVE SESSIONS
With Congress still deadlocked and unable to act on immigration, lawmakers across the country continue to take matters into their own hands. ImmigrationWorks prepared for the opening of the 2012 state legislative sessions by crafting a packet of resources for local pro-immigration business coalitions. Materials include talking points on E-Verify, a report on how immigration enforcement laws are affecting state economies and an easy-to-read primer on who should make immigration law, Washington or the states. The packet was distributed to employers nationwide by ImmigrationWorks and several of its trade association partners, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Restaurant Association.
